The summer of 1940 is forever engrained in our national memory, as are the young men who banded together, from 12 nations, to protect Britain's skies and her people during the aerial conflict that became known as the Battle of Britain. Not only was this battle a desperate struggle against overwhelming odds; the price of failure was no less than the end of freedom and democracy in Europe.
This year, 70 years on, Britain will be commemorating the sacrifice of those brave young men and women who fought, and often died, in the RAF's most memorable conflict. As part of these celebrations the Royal Air Force Museum London is offering you the opportunity to raise a toast to 'The Few' and, in the process, help us to maintain the iconic aircraft that flew in the battle.
We are offering our Corporate Clients the exclusive opportunity to entertain their guests with a Battle of Britain Champagne Reception surrounded by the very combat aircraft that protected our nation during its darkest days.
On arrival, guests will be warmly greeted by our experts dressed as a Battle of Britain Pilot and WAAF officer. They will then mingle amongst the throng, regaling them with their war-time experiences, as your guests enjoy timeless classics from the period. Then as your reception draws to a close both you and your guests will be invited to view the moving and inspirational sound and light show 'Our Finest Hour' before raising a final toast to 'The Few'.
If you book your Battle of Britain Reception in conjunction with a daytime conference a 50% discount will apply to your reception's venue hire.
As part of the Museum's conference facilities we are able to offer a tiered lecture theatre capable of holding 224 people together with a fully equipped projection room, full audio-visual assistance and full event management. All corporate guests are also entitled to complimentary access to the Museum and free car parking - giving your event real added value. Our Day Delegate Packages start from £45.00 per person plus VAT (minimum numbers apply) with all the profits from your event going to the maintenance of the Museum's collection.
